The bacterium

1. unique structures
2. various adaptations
3. enhanced motility and dispersal methods
4. nutrition mode and
5. ability to reproduce

allow  this endoparasite to invade and inhabit its host organisms effectively.

B. burgdorferi is a well-studied bacterium.
However, this spirochaete species continues to be an interesting and mysterious topic in current research.

The more and more scientists experiment with
and find out about B. burgdorferi,
the more it proves to be a truly magnificent organism.
